Present Pictures - Winter Exhibition 2008 I will be having some paintings in an exhibition held by Davina Phillips on Friday, 28th November; Sunday, 30th November; and Monday,1st December near Whitchurch. Please telephone her on 01256-892460 for further details. A Recent Commission In the early summer I did a commission of the interior of Easton Parish Church. They have recently opened up a door on the North side of the church and have spent time reorganizing the inside including the laying of a new stone flagged floor. This is in a Celtic Cross design – using old flagstones – and was an important part of the commission as well as the view through the North door. This was an interesting commission as I had to incorporate all the main elements – so the result was a ‘fish-eye’ view. The response was very positive! Tower Art Centre, Winchester At the Tower Art Centre every Tuesday evening I run an art class for beginners, and every Wednesday daytime I run two painting classes. Oils I am now embarking on a new adventure: painting in oils. To bring me up to speed, I have just spent 3 days at West Dean College in Sussex attending Val Whiffen's course on oil painting.
